The Tracy Andrus Foundation is dedicated to assisting the needy and vulnerable populations within the state of Texas and its surrounding areas by providing housing support, essential services, educational assistance, and other charitable support to those in need.
Empowering Lives Through Compassion
TAF is partnered with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to offer applicants whose household income does not exceed 80% of the Area Median Family Income (AMFI) assistance with paying rent. We are able to offer this service in seven different counties, including Harrison County.
Our emergency shelter is a refuge for those experiencing homelessness. However, the shelter is currently unavailable while we work to bring it up to code. Any donations made to this project will be extremely appreciated, as we are excited to get back up and running to provide a safe space for the homeless and battered.
To ensure that individuals who are experiencing difficulties are afforded the essential services and resources, the Tracy Andrus Foundation is committed to providing essential hygiene items.
We provide a clothing closet to the general population. Individuals can take up to six clothing items, two pairs of shoes, and two accessories, completely free of charge.
Individuals who are in need may stop by the Foundation to use our laundry facilities. This service is offered according to the Services Hours section below. However, if your schedule does not permit, please email us to schedule an appointment.
